Coltagious Neutral Newbie August 27, 2006 Share August 27, 2006 (edited) Hi all, just completed two detailing sessions on 2 sexy rides from Zoom Zoom recently. First up, this hard-top MX5 just had a fresh coat of paint a few months back and I was under the impression that its gonna need just some light touch ups. After washing and claying, I had a shock when I saw the rotary induced swirls all over the car. See the pics to know what I mean. My Process: 1) Wash n Clay 2) Rotary wif Orange LC pad and IP (Some areas needed Lambwool and IP first ) 3) Rotary with White pad and PO106FF 4) Chemical Guys EZ creme glaze by hand 5) Chemical Guys M-Seal x2 layers by hand The pre-preparation process took almost 30 mins due to the taping up of almost all the visible rubber seals, some of which were dry and had harden. Special care had to be taken at the tight curvy edges keeping in mind this is a resprayed paintwork. Though siong, the end result was really sweet. Hope u all like it Some Swirls and the after polishing pics: Before: After: Edited August 27, 2006 by Coltagious ↡ Advertisement

Coltagious Neutral Newbie August 27, 2006 Author Share August 27, 2006 Yup. M-seal is one of their sealant. There is a new carnauba paste wax coming out soon, keep the link in ur favourite folder. Since u like pink wax, try out their cherry wax or butter wet wax, believe they are just as wet
Coltagious Neutral Newbie August 27, 2006 Author Share August 27, 2006 The swirls on this RX8 is even worse than the MX5. Purchased as a showroom car, it was delivered in an appalling state which I personally feel no reputable seller should allow, regardless of the sale price The pictures say it all: before n after: After polishing:
