Why not? Just have the Battery changed every year.

Keep the engine running when you listen to your ICE.

This way battery gets charged up.

I doubt they would draw too much, but i would be more worried abt how much power your alternator cranks out.

when the engine is running, the car is supposed to be charging the battery and power is meant to come from the alternator.

I should not be too worried whether battery can tahan or not. I think the battery life will be normal if those accessories are on only when the engine is on because once engine is on, you don't really need the car battery.

I will be more concerned whether those electical stuff is done by a qualified electrical technician. Haven't you heard of car catching fire.

The original battery on an Altis is a puny little thing. When I did my ICE, I changed to Optima Red Top Series. Saves me the headache. I also had a turbo timer (old one) connected to monitor the voltage. Seems that serious ICE setup can be quite a drain on the battery.

No way for a 65 let alone a 55 amp/hr battery to take such a heavy load on a continuous basis. Car lead-acid batteries are designed mainly to allow suddent heavy draw of current during starting thereafter the battery remains a electrical storehouse and the supply of electrical current to run the engine systems comes from the alternator. If yr ICE, besides directly powered by the alternator output, still needs supplement supply from the battery, overtime the battery will sufer internal damage and die prematurely

You have to computer the max total wattage require to powered yr ICE and then decide wthether to upgrade both the stock battery and alternator or run a seperate parallel electrical cuicuit with its own battery and control panel( preferally a deep cycle traction battery ). The battery will be charged directly from a battery charger when not in use.

At idle engine speed, the alternator is not able to generate ouptut of more than 2 amp - this amount is just sufficient for the engine systems. Continouse high output from alternator will generate alot of heat which is bad for the alternator long life and continuous high amp going in the battery will cause the battery to "gas" and overheate the

the battery lead and lead peroxide plates

wat kinda ICE system u got in ur car?

i tink the neons, rsm and all those stuff wont take up tat much.

ICE is a power sucker.

if urs is a simple system, it should be ok.

like elfenstar said, with the car on, the strain is on the alternator.

but if u like to blast when the engine is not started, then its a different ting liao.
