Previously with 80/20 highway/urban driving I used to get up around 11.5~13-odd km/ltr. Right now, with 30/70, it's down to a pathetic 9~10km/ltr [dead]

Of course there are other factors like my mood during the week but let's not get into that.... [laugh]

currently my driving pattern is already 80/20 highway driving my consumption is already 8.9-9/2km/ltr.... :(

Wat's your RPM reading for speed of 100Km? mine shows ard 3,000rpm, seems high....

BTW, where's autospritze? Also wat's the charges for normal servicing? Is it busy? Cos servo is always jam packed with lots of cars...

Revs at 100 kmph on 5th gear are around 2900, if I remember correctly. 9-ish km/ltr does sound a bit high for highway-biased driving to me but then again, I'm driving a manual. Any comments to add Flurry, er sorry...Fluffy?

As for Autospritze, they're at Eunos Ave 3 - can't recall the number. The StreetDirectory.com map shows up their location as "General Cars".

Ask for Colin (96806789) or Dennis [:)]

car dun pull away? err... my car pulls away great, much better than the current focus and similar to the vectra 1.8, or so it seems.... you might want to check your VVT valve (mine needed changing last year)

Good that you're still hangng on, there are some parts left in the store. PM me if you need them as i'll be getting rid of them soon if there are no takers. You can self-pickup the items FOC, some was pass over to me from Mel, including a 5 piece SEAT floor mat(still new, not in pic). Excluding Audi TT pedals(Auto ony), I'm hoping to recover some $ for the item ( btw, I'm also stuck with a Neuspeed struct actually unsure.gif).

vipe's old Porsche BBK is still in his Tody Cupra, just saw the car last sunday, ... his new A4 has a diff one, probably a BBBK - Bigger BBK [:p]

the skody is a great car, lots of space and some nice toys, loving the pssst psst and lots of potential for making the pssst psst become PSSST PSSST.... but will pace me self... ....small pssst pssst seems just about enough for me....must be getting old! [lipsrsealed][shakehead]

yo fluffy. no i am not drving vipers toledo..but mel's.....so i would suppose that all the stuffs are gone ya? did u sell ur toledo or did u scrap it?good price?anyway, reason why i am out scavanging for stuffs is because my car was hit by some @#$%kers while reversing on a hit and run incident...and the damage is on the front bumpers and grills plus the brackets holding the lights.now torn between repairing all the stuffs or changing to a new ride...has been out test drving a couple of cars and honestly few come close to the tody in terms of the whole package.sigh.....anyway, hows ur new skoda?as good as the tody or better?any good recommendations as to where to source for the parts?do they sell the brackets separately?or wat cars to intro?sigh..........

Hi Bro,

Sorry to hear your incident.

Ironically, great to hear that you are still hanging on to the Tody ... but given in today's market, it may be more attractive to get a new ride at the same running cost.

Sooner or later, you have to change anyway unless you are moving out of town.

We do agree it makes it hard to choose especially if you have been "spoilt" of the package of the Tody.

Nothing had come as close as the Tody package at that price range.

Guess we need to move on ...... but I will always remember the Tody inlove.gif

i have to say that u have taken very good care of the tody..and its really very tastefully done up...really cant bear to scrap it.sigh...further it has been serving me well..wander hows the skoda that fluffy has bought....sad that i am now using the tody as a benchmark when out hunting for cars.any good recommendations on ur side?

cheers

Hmm....have to close one eyes when moving on.

I think I speak for the rest of the ex-owners as well.

But, VAG still stirs my heart.

$$$, image and agent aside, I would place my dollar on the Skody VRs.

Alternatively, a 2 yr old GTi would be my 2nd option.

There are too many choices in the market .... depends on your needs tongue.gif and wants sly.gif
