Hi,

Sorry most of the things are with fluffy, not much anyway, except those +50BHP Cupra-R emblem. I tot they were in the box, but found them last week and fixed them on my sushi-van.

If you happen to see Cupra-R wish on the road hur.gif, that's me. Wifey complained they look ricey and repulsive....unimpressed.gif (they used to look pretty well on my toddy tho..)

Just suprised to read postings from the fellow ex-toddy fans... I thought many have already moved on... Really dont mind a cup of kopi, and perhaps, look again what I've been missing....

Enjoy yr ride... cheers.

Sorry to hear about your incident toledocupra. I don't have replacement parts for the front anymore. About switching rides, I'd say even my switch to the A4 was a compromise... no more folding rear seats, retractable rear window blinds, folding mirrors, 12V socket in the boot, smaller boot... When I was driving my tody, all I needed was a 1.8T engine inside and it would have been perfect.

About 2 months ago, I happen to see my old car drive past me and I exclaimed, "Hey that's my car!". My friend said to me... what's wrong with you? you sound like someone stole your car. I guess that's the level of emotional attachment with the Tody.

If you do get a new car (eg. Skoda Superb, Octavia vRS, etc..) you would have to mod the suspension to get back the same level of handling as your tody as Mel did up the suspension and anti-roll bars.

On the porsche brake kit, yes the previous one is still on the tody. On the A4, it is indeed a BBBK Bigger Big Brake Kit Hahaha... 6 pots with 352mm rotors.

Toledo as the benchmark - that's exactly the same headache I face these days, sometimes even with cars that are in supposedly higher market segments (somehow the mental image of the current 5-series cupholder keeps replaying in my mind... [laugh] ) And, no, I guess it's not as simple as the drive, is it? [laugh]

in actual fact, went to test drive a 3 year old 318i yesterday and was only impressed with the engine, steptronic transmission and valvetronic drive train..other than that.....the door does not feel as solid.no vanity lights on the mirror and even the stock sound system from the beemer does not come close to wat the tody has to offer...i really wander wat other cars or models i have to consider...5 series or a e class?this is really driving me nuts man......any feed back on the superb and the VRS?fluffy or anyone?cheers

Talk to skyraider in the Skoda forum... he drives the vRS... good friend of mine :) You won't be able to test drive the vRS, so ask him about it.

As for the superb, I think you should do a test drive to get a personal feel of the car.

Hi Welcome !

We only have Toledo MkI & MkII, but the last Toledo was sold in Yr 2003 when the local agent had decide to close shop.

I think there are less than 50 Toledo on the road now ... or much lesser.

I would say it is much rarer than a Ferrari !

hiya you guys!

hope to see you guys soon too.

toledocupra,

sorry to hear about your accident, bro. there are many cars out there but you'd find very few who will surpass the tody at a reasonable price. The tody came complete with looks, all options ticked and at a reasonable price. The only bug bear is the rear space and the engine (wish they had the 1.8T).

the only vRS left is the blue one and it is a decent ride. It is going for like $96k now and seems a good buy, but it is pretty spartan and basic in terms of spec.

I got the Superb because the vRS was $105 then, and i also found the space much better in the superb. Also, the last batch of supys came with electric seats, OEM HU, steering wheel remote, cruise controls and stuff which the present batch does not. When we meet, i'd give you a ride lah, you can see some stuff i did to the interior to liven up the black (no longer grey) interior.

Viper,

love to meet u man.....pass on that mod poison over.......i'm getting mod fever leow !! [lipsrsealed]

Rene and xxer, love to meet u guys, i'd be flying the same time ard 5May too.

Kopi at Guthrie next Fri? [flowerface]

The one we have now is this, but will be removed from the market because have not been sold.

To replace the car, not the name of Toledo, now they are selling the Altea XL, that is practically the same car

Yeesss, actually have to close both eyes and moove on if u wanna part with the tody. I got back recently from an Italian tune on my tody from Penang and thoroughly enjoyed the drive, words just cannot describe the drive thumbsup.gif. Set eyes recently on the last blue vRS sitting in the show room, tested the 9-3 & A4, but still decided to stick to my tody. My recent drive to Penang has sealed my decision to stick to my tody. Lets meet for kopi, ex, current & 'new' tody owners.

hiya spanish bro,

our authorised distributor closed after the MKII toledo, we don't have the MK III, not that it would sell either... it is as big as a 7 seater MPV yet sits only 5....

i hope the new designer from Lambo does the Toledo a favour and bring back the sporty sedan.

Walter da Silva pretty much ruined the seat range, all looking like the Altea, just smaller or larger versions of the same car, tagged with different name....sigh...
