Mit Airtrek stop production?

Hi, just heard from my friend that Mitsubishi has stop the production of all variant Airtrek..

 

Is it true? Anyone got any info on this?

I think they stopped awhile ago.

 

Already a replacement Outlander out and has been for sometime.

cost reasons

cos of the detuned evo engine

initial batch use the 2.4 grandis engine, now switched to a newer 2.4

Not very good news huh.. so fast end of line liao.. next time will have problem looking for spare parts. Gonna be expensive.

When announced last October, the new Outlander is to replace existing Airtrek and Outlander. Am driving one now, replacing my old Airtrek.

Is the new outlander anything close to the airtrek? or close to the airtrek turbo?

You mean in terms of look and feel or performance?

 

I'd prefer the new Outlander vs my Airtrek anytime. Larger, more space, electronic controlled AWD, premium audio (mine's the G-line). Everything is factory installed.

 

Havent driven the ATR thus no comment - but you cant compare NA w/ TC right?
