Defelio Neutral Newbie August 2, 2006 Share August 2, 2006 Bro, how's your personal feel after installing the braided hose? If my front only disc, that means only 2 hose needed right?
Chickenbackside 1st Gear August 2, 2006 Share August 2, 2006 My personal feeling is steel braided hoses improved the brake feel drastically, giving you much higher confidence. The performance of your brakes don't actually improve but the pedal feels a lot less spongy, giving you the impression of better brakes. I love mine! Ben50 Neutral Newbie August 3, 2006 Share August 3, 2006 You can get hydraulic steel braided hose from hydraulic hose and fittings shops. There are a few shops at Jalan Besar area...find address in the Yellow Pages. These shops supply to many industries...for hydraulic oil, water, petrol and others. There are 1 steel braided hose and 2 steel braided hose. The price for the hydraulic hose is cheaper... few dollars per ft. The problem is the fittings. There are many types/sizes of fitting. There are BSP, NPT, JIC, JIS, Metric and etc. You have to bring sample to show them. The price for the fittings depend on the types and sizes. Megalord Neutral Newbie August 8, 2006 Share August 8, 2006 You can get earl's or goodridge or other popular hoses from overseas with the accompanying reusable fittings easily. Then you can experiment effects of hoses of varying interior bore. Found it fun when i was experimenting with the brake hoses. It may take a little effort, if it is your first time to identify your fittings, but rest assured its easy and once you mastered it its a piece of cake. Most of the online catalogs available will help you through easily.

Megalord Neutral Newbie August 8, 2006 Share August 8, 2006 Those informative ones actually came from their respective site, one such is here. http://www.goodridge.net/usa/automotive.htm All the information from other sites are obtained from the company's catalog, though there seem to be some variation on earl's information. ↡ Advertisement
