Ae86 Neutral Newbie July 25, 2006 Share July 25, 2006 This is the high/low pass frequency filter switch use it to filter out unwanted frequncies. If you set it at 80hz low pass, then only frequencies equivalent and below the 80hz range is allow to pass through to the speakers in this case will be a sub woofer.If you are using this amp to drive mids than set the high pass frequencies from 200hz onwards to suit the mid or mid range speakers because if the low frequencies is not filter out the mids cannot take the booming punch of the low frequencies and the sound will distort.
