Taiwanese Rims(replicas) ...JADI or KOYAK ??

Most tyre shops I spoke to say these days, their sales is 80% Taiwan rims. They acknowledged that quality in terms of rigidness n weight n maybe finishing is lower than original rims but so far no issues.

 

For those who have put on new taiwan rims, what are yr experiences. are they reliable. I wld appreciate some good n bad feedbacks.

Bro, I have used Taiwan rims for the last 15 yrs with regular trips up north to Kuantan, Malacca, KL, Genting as norm. Never encountered any quality issues with them.

I guess those pple with budget tends to go for the real after-market stuff which can be very expensive.

 

But for many others who want fancier rims (or design that they like) with limited budget goes for replicas.

 

Personally I think tech today has advanced and replicas are just as good and reliable.

Hi Ah beng, most taiwan rims are normally heavier in terms of wt. plus the finishing products may not be as precise as the orginal rims like madwe i Japan or others contries,bro!!!

Hi yes, I think in terms of looks, the replicas can be very good n look very alike the original ones. But I was told most of them use heavier materials so could affect FC, the bigger the rims.

Most Japanese rims are made in Taiwan anyway.....

 

American rims are mostly made in Korea......

Nowadays e techonology of replica rims is much better, manufacturers also take into account of weight & material of replica rims...

been using the rims i bought at PH for more than 1 year, so far no pro.

if you drive like the 90 % of singaporeans here - it will be ok..

but if you cheong 10 times a week then prolly dangerous
