Elfenstar 3rd Gear July 21, 2006 Share July 21, 2006 where does the steering point when the wheels are straight ahead or are both wheels not running parallel. either way its either a wheel alignment issue or steering alignment issue, not hard nor expensive to fix unless you bent something. Nhrisuzu 1st Gear July 21, 2006 Share July 21, 2006 think it is ur steering alignment.. time to go workshop.. i used to have that problem also.. the mechanic re-fit the steering wheel then steady already..

Yeobh 4th Gear July 23, 2006 Share July 23, 2006 For car with airbag, removing the steering wheel is not a easy task. Any mistake may cause the airbag to blow-up. The mechanics must disable the airbag (SRS) module before proceeding to remove the steering wheel. Putting it back need extreme care to make sure the airbag " watch-spring" is in proper order if not the airbag may not be activated when an accident happen. After all the work the airbag module must be stimulated (need a specialty tool) to make sure it is in working order. Many local mechanics need not realise the legal consequence they may face if they remove and fail to fixs back the steering wheel propely which inturns has disable the airbag from proper fuctioning. And u will not know the airbag is not working properly until it's too late. ↡ Advertisement
