Well you seem to think that there is something sfaulty with the drum brakes of the Mazda 3. Any data to back that up, instead of making insinuations?

Neutral Newbie

It has a known fact that Jap companies are notorious for corporate coverups. I few years back, it was Mitsubishi, Snow Brand Milk or something like that. I am also working in a Jap company. What I can confidently say is that till today, they are not as open as what we think. There are lots of cover ups here and there.

first of all.. i am not making insinulations or whatsoever... but merely helping everyone to recap what was mentioned and stated in the papers... Mazda claimed that there is nothing wrong with the drum brakes... and alot of experts and critics jumped into the wagon and was reported in the papers too.. remember this saying

If it's not broken, dun fix it....

I know you want to clarify... dun fight with me...i just helping everyone to recall... since Mazda is so good to give 4 wheel disc brake.. When can mitsubishi or nissan do such a same move too.. everyone entitled for free upgrade for 4 wheel disc brakes.. hur.gif

think you should get my point now, if you dun.. its okie for me too..

1. You don't have to bold your words, I can read fine, thank you.

2. Whether 'experts' or 'critics' have voiced their opinions in the papers or not does not make it fact. They remain opinions. If a Mazda employee validates a problem that needs rectifyling, then it will change things. We need to see the difference.

2. "If it's not broken, don't fix it" is merely an idiom, a generic truism. Do not mistake this for an overwhelming fact. Because if it is, you will see hardly any technological progress anywhere on the grounds that "it ain't broke". Things change for different reasons, some out of necessity, and some merely because there's a way forward.

3. If Mazda has stated that there's nothing wrong with the drums, why do you link it with Toyota's recall? Is this not the very definition of insinuation? To cast doubt where there needn't be?

4. Is it even possible for a company to have good intentions in their practices, or are you so cynical as to see all business transactions as a zero-sum game (if I win, you must lose)? If Mazda can clear their inventory problems and the owners upgrade their brakes at the same time, why should we cast aspersions on their intentions? Isn't this a win-win situation that we all seek?

5. Nobody is fighting with you. But if you want to put up a post, at least post responsibly. Don't say something and not back it up. And then behave like opinions are completely harmless...

I won't call this a scandal but there is a bigger thing going on with Bayer selling HIV-tainted blood products to consumers in Europe and Asia.

You can search it under Youtube for the CNBC broadcast. Quite sensational! laugh.gif
