Mercs Hypersonic July 14, 2006 Share July 14, 2006 (edited) I want to mod my exhaust to straight twinpipes.Have read thru the threads and there are few places like Jeep Chee,Fong Kim, Man exhaust.. Can any expert guide me to which shop is better to get it done with better workmanship and reasonable price? Only for cosmetic purposes. By the way I'm driving a Merc C200. Thanks in advance to all! Clarkewan Neutral Newbie July 14, 2006 Share July 14, 2006 for a large range to choose from, jeep chee would be a better place.... i did my exhaust tip at jeep chee (titanium type) for my van and it comes with a LTA letter stating that it is ok for me to have exhaust tip welded to my existing muffler... and my muffler got blue-ish coloured tip... 3.5" diameter!! today i went for inpection and b4 i go into the check, i handed the letter to the inspector and i passed my yearly check... :D for mercs, i think jeep chee got the nice ones... :D cheers!!! Sony 1st Gear July 14, 2006 Share July 14, 2006 Is it a direct weld on or they need to have a connecting joint to join the tip and your existing muffler? Can give a rough guage of the price? Tip + workmanship breakdown if possible. Cheers
Clarkewan Neutral Newbie July 15, 2006 Share July 15, 2006 this is how the exos tip looks like and after installations with installations is S$100 and comes with LTA letter that it is LEGAL to fit by welding the exhaust tip to the original existing exhaust.... :D
