OK, good news for those looking for Kumho Supra Ecsta 712 size 205/55 16". Stocks are available now but the bad news is that the distributor has decided to increase the price! Apparently, the above size costs about $130/piece now.

Straight but true, Kumho 17s are cheaper than 16s!!!

 

Actually that's a misconception. It depends on whether the tire size is common or not.. 205/55-16 may be more expensive than 215/45-17 just cos it's more common to find the latter. But 205/50-16 goes for as little as $85 per tire. My guess is that 55 profile tyres for the 712s are not expected to be in demand cos they are on the high side in terms of profile..
