Vit4wd 1st Gear June 25, 2006 Share June 25, 2006 Change back stock size tyres. Go for known brands such as Yokohama, Bridgestone, Michelin - shd be prertty safe.
Vblaster_w211 2nd Gear June 25, 2006 Share June 25, 2006 IS200 is rather sporty, so consider at least Michelin Pilot Preceda II or Continental PremiumContact II. For a sportier ride, consider Michelin PS2, Continental Sportcontact 2, Advan Sports, Dunlop Sports Maxx - all pretty good.

Vit4wd 1st Gear June 25, 2006 Share June 25, 2006 I find that Contentinental tyres tend to harden very fast, within 2 yrs of usage.
Furrynadz 5th Gear June 25, 2006 Share June 25, 2006 thats cause stamford tyres keeps them in so much stock anyway anyone who is cheapskate enuff to use rubbers more than 2yrs should be shot
Jolie888 Clutched July 1, 2006 Share July 1, 2006 The IS200's stock Dunlop SP Sports 9000 (Made in Japan) are now out of production. Next best alternative now is Dunlop SP Sports Maxx. I tried Bridgestone performance tyres ... forget them. Noiser but poorer grip on wet.
Xiidevil Neutral Newbie July 2, 2006 Share July 2, 2006 hi, i'm driving an is200 too.... currenlt i'm on pirelli dragon... grip and noise wise quite gd... but abit ex though...
Suxelis Neutral Newbie July 2, 2006 Share July 2, 2006 P dragon is quiet? Is this the asian market version?
Cool_jazz Neutral Newbie July 2, 2006 Share July 2, 2006 (edited) 2 of my Alfa kakis had the Dragon. Yes, it for the Asian market. Comfortable and fairly quiet ride. But wear rate is high. It is more of a Max Performance Tyre and not an Ultimate Performance Tyre. So grip is not as good as the Goodyear Eagle F1-GSD3 or Bridgestone SO3. Chickenbackside 1st Gear July 2, 2006 Share July 2, 2006 (edited) I'm on Dragons now (235/35/19) and I find them the opposite leh. Grip is quite lousy and noise level also not good. I find the rubber compound very hard compared with my ex Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's. In fact the 225/45/17 Eagles outperformed 235/35/19 by quite a lot in every sense, except maybe in terms of longevity. I totally regret my choice. I'll try the Dunlop Sport Maxx next... If I could afford it, I'd definitely get the Michelin PS2's. I thrashed them for a whole day during a driver's training course and they're simply amazing. However, at $680/tyre in my size, I cannot afford lah... Edited July 2, 2006 by Chickenbackside
Cool_jazz Neutral Newbie July 2, 2006 Share July 2, 2006 Why don't you go back to GSD-3? Changed mine out to CSC2 and regretted big time. Now on CPC RFTs.....
