All cars diff price. Even same model but different cc also different price.

Stiffer u feel all bumps but not bouncy. Once bouncy bouncy shocks worn n need to change.

Most toyota BnB cars use KYB as originals. Many places sell kyb.

 

Just chk wh them if ty hv what u want. I usually stick to stock fr a better ride but prefer gas shocks if ty hv.

Had a very bad experience when changed my KYB shock absorbers at Auto-Pit (Bt Batok). They forget to pump my brake pedals after the installation which resulted my brakes not functional even though I pressed my brake pedals numerous times when I drove out from the workshop compound and later crashed onto a lorry.

 

Recorded the whole accident from by car video recorder and even though the mechanic admitted that he forget to pump the brakes, the workshop still has the audacity to say that I pressed the accelerator.

 

I was prepared to give the workshop a chance to make amends if they pay for the FULL repair cost of my car, which they did not and made me pay for my car's front headlight. I don't even get an apology from them.

 

I hope you guys will benefit from my sharing of my bad experience with Auto-Pit workshop. :(

Er.....most toyota stock IS kyb.

 

Kyb r supplier to toyota fr shocks. Toyota dun make their own shocks. Ty buy fm kyb n install in their cars.

But change shocks no need to dismantle brakes. Why ty touch yr brakes?

 

Pump brakes is to bleed air from brake fluid. Why ty need to bleed brakes when ty change shocks???

My rear brake pads were changed too. Not sure that was one of the

I remembered when I first pressed the brake pedal after the installation, the pedal felt loose like no feedback at all. Leason learned to depress brake pedal fully a few times yourself and don't assume that the workshop has done it before putting the gear to "D".

If mech opened brake hose...sop is to bleed out e air. If ty never do...ty sud b shot.

My suspension got those squeek sound when going over a hump, especially in the morning..the sound is same like those old van goingover hump...

 

Is it really suspension problem?

U can chk e suspension n anti-roll bar bushes first. If ty r ok then prob wil b shocks worn.

I just went to workshop today, the mechanics told me that the screw from the brake calipers are missing. (most probably maintenance done from previous owner workshop)

 

Fix back the screw and good now

Im sure sud hv. Many toyota models wil use e same model of shocks. Just that e shop do not know.
