HHmmm... tough question to answer. I was considering Wish and Edix 1 year ago...:)

In the end, I bought the 2L Edix. And still enjoying it till today.

Just my view, ( fyi. My bro actually own a Wish.)

Wish the FC is fantastic definitely better than edix. From power aspect, Wish 1.8 is definitely better than Edix 1.7.

So why did I get a Edix?

1. 2L iVtec is definitely better than Wish (Look out for the 1.8 Edix, I heard is coming)

2. Wish body is really soft (Thin Metal.)

3. 3rd row not safe.

4. 3rd row cramp and no air-con.

5. No boot space.

6. Edix nice styling

7. I love it when my daughter sit with me and my wife in front...:)

Cheers!

it won't be that cramped. do you know that the edix is almost a whopping 1.8m wide. its even wider then a S-class.

that would be annoying to park sometimes, esp when others do not keep within their lots.. [mad]

I don't own an Edix nor a Wish, but some of my colleagues have them.

Based on my observations as a passenger, I find that Honda's insulation is very minimal for the Edix. It's 1.7L engine really very loud when strained. Lacking power too, for the size of the MPV - IMHO. Not good. But 3+3 seating arrangement is quite innovative. No need to tilt any middle-row seats. Air cond gets to the 2nd row seats pretty easily (just like a normal sedan).

Wish's engine is relatively more quiet and feels more powerful too, compared to the Edix. But the back seats a little difficult to access, especially for adults 1.75m or taller. Back row can be very hot during lunch time, especially upon entering a car that has been parked in the sun for a while.

For "best of both worlds", I would get a 2L i-VTEC Honda Edix, should I decide to buy an MPV.

Not a Wish, nor a 1.7L Edix.

Edix for me as i quite like the look compare with Wish. If you alway ferry 7 pax. then get the wish.if not , then the edix will be good.

wish is mpv..edix is not but spacious enough..itz tough to compare between a mpv & edix..different range hard to compare..but i personally will choose edix coz itz HONDA tongue.gif

but for family man probably wish would be better choice..but edix also not bad for a small family of 4 or with kids..itz spacious enough

We were considering the Wish and Picnic abt 2 years ago (when the prices were darn high) and finally went for the Wish. Actually we went for the Wish coz the Borneo people were too busy to attend to us tongue.gif

We liked the fact that its a 1.8L not 2L like most MPVs, considering the road tax etc and that fact that the FC is great! Especially what with fuel prices nowadays.. sweatdrop.gif Initially we fel that the body of the Wish was to 'thin' as well so to solve that...we soundproofed the car and now when we close the door, it sounds real solid wink.gif.

Aesthetics I think is quite a personal opinion but after doing all the mods, I think the car is bery chio wink.gif I guess I'm still pretty old fashioned when it comes to looks coz I like a car with a 'bum' laugh.gif

The 3rd row aircon was also one area where we had our concerns but after trying a few things out, we found the best way to get aircon to the back row and so far, no one has complained about it...even after sitting in the 3rd row during the noontime sun.. wink.gif

We've also made trips to Genting and Cameron Highlands with 6 adults and 1 kid, with a full load of luggage in the back without any problems at all laugh.gif.

Guess it all boils down to what you want in a car and what you like about it. Have fun! thumbsup.gif

Edix for look and design on the 3x2 seating.

Other thing no point talking -

Engine n power - what difference u expect of 100cc.

FC is about the same, base on almost same engine size, veh weight and so on no such thing as wish will consume like a suzuki swift.

Aircon - can't imagine the experience at third row over jam at causeway [sweatdrop]

most likey will be your kid that will suffer.. heat stroke [dead]

"............p.s. While scouting and comparing, I was also drawn to the Toyota Isis (also 1.8L, but with sliding doors) a few $K more then the Wish/Edix "

Those who have not seen Isis may want to take note that this car has no pillar at the passenger side between the front and the second row.

Very doubtful can it withstand side impact from the passenger side.

I find the Edix a bit odd looking. but anyway, I've been driving the Wish for like 1.5 months now. The rear aircon thing is ok, you just need to open up the centre vent and up the fan speed a little bit. I've ferried 5 pple around before (so 6 including me). Power delivery is ok (as in you can feel the load but at least the car didn't really struggle) but I don't chiong one. The gear box is ok so far, ride is quiet, handles decently. For the past 5 tanks, it's returning me 13.5-14km/L with about 75% HW?

[:)] I like the exterior and interior of the Edix ! Comparing it to the much too common Wish, I think the Edix has the looks and stands out of the crowd. The 3 person front seating arrangement is strange but guess one would get used to it after some time.

Yeah...it is the Edix for me !

"I find the Edix a bit odd looking. "

Agreed fully. Especially the backside. Front is nice. Can't say the same for the rear and side profile.

anyway beauty lies on the eyes of the beholder. [nod]

i think the edix (according to comments posted and what i see), is rather wide, and looks like a van (think merc vito), only with a shortened wheelbase, nothing impressive imho, for honda i think the airwave looks better (normal 5-seating estate car) but thats sedan size, cannot compare apples with oranges

On the contrary, I find airwave looks weird, neither here nor there. It looks good on paper though.

I find the Edix has a majestic presence on the road, most probably due to its width. Definitely dun feel like a vito van to me.
