Zeefauna Neutral Newbie June 20, 2006 Author Share June 20, 2006 Yes, it was very tiring. The taping was a chore. Otherwise, it was quite "fun". You're right, it is the PC 7424. I asked Hypercoat too, and its the same reply. And better still, buying with the Meguiar's logo means Worldwide Lifetime Guarantee... I have a transformer for use with electrical points and a power inverter for use with the car battery. Both from eBay, and works well. ↡ Advertisement
Clubace Clutched June 20, 2006 Share June 20, 2006 BTW, you can use speed detailer to remove the stains on the plastic trims quite effectively, thus doing away with the tape.
Zeefauna Neutral Newbie June 20, 2006 Author Share June 20, 2006 You're right. I might try that the next time and compare the time spent. I used the speed detailer to brush off areas i couldn't tape, like the gap between the bumper and the body. I don't have such a thin tape.

Ahbengdriver 6th Gear June 21, 2006 Share June 21, 2006 (edited) I think this is the most CHIO nissan sunny I ve seen BTW, some advice needed. I am respraying my car's front bumper[only part of car] today and will be collecting tonight after work. my car is under PPS treatment by studio-12 using the menzerna products. Since it would be rediculous to send the car there to just PPS the new resprayed bumper, I would like to ask if any of the meguair's product can be used as a short term PPS equivalent until next month when I send the car for a full PPS. Reason is I am quite particular abt the front bumper and want the best protection possible. I have a bottle of NXT liquid wax, will this do for the time being or other stuffs recommneded? Southpark2000 Neutral Newbie June 21, 2006 Share June 21, 2006 [reply] Just to let you guys know. Homefix is having a 20% storewide discount for Meguair's products. Saw that when I was at Homefix@Marina Square Yeah but they upped the price of NXT Wash b4 giving u discount. Mine current bot reads $16.20 on its price tag vs. $19 - $20 AND - the tag was b4 a 20% discount!!!
Zeefauna Neutral Newbie June 21, 2006 Author Share June 21, 2006 Thanks Bro and All for the compliments. As for the "short term" protection, i guess the NXT Tech Wax can do the job. When you wash your car during this waiting month, just use the NXT Spray Wax for that just waxed look. I think the Tech Wax can last 2 months, depending on driving usage and exposure to rain. Note: Just make sure that after they respray the bumper, they don't "polish" it and give you swirl marks all over.
Nutty 4th Gear June 21, 2006 Share June 21, 2006 My Ride is currenly on GLARE. Just wonder if it is safe to use NXT Spray Wax or NXT TEch Wax in between the 6-month inspection. Anyone? ↡ Advertisement
