Hi guys... I was a little careless today at a basement carpark... understeered when I was supposed to turn left, and as a result the right corner of my front bumper was scratched by the wall. Here are the pics. From what I can see, there is no dent on the bumper.

Need some advice from guys here...

1) The black parts show paint scratched off. Will it rust if I don't cover it back with paint?

2) If I want to do a paint job for this, should I go back to C&C or get outside workshop to paint for me? For a job like this (right half of front bumper), how much roughly will Cycle and Carriage charge me?

This type of scrape very common especially in those CP with very narrow lanes.

Just go outside paint shop to do the touch-up.

Normally re-spray whole bumper abt $150.

as said C&C will charge you an arm and a leg [laugh]

Anyway take your time and look for a good price as the bumper is ABS plastic. It won't rust.

The offical car dealer will always charge u super high, last time I got a 1CM slight paint scrape off my black car, I bring back to MotorImage they say their rule is MUST respray the WHOLE BUMPER for $300 [rifle][whip][furious] I asked them to wake up and stare at the srape that I can fixed at any Workshops @ AMK autopoint for less than $100 (which I recommend) or anywhere for that matter. Their reply was that their workshop can only do whole panel sparying...

from the replies, i guess you should know never to bring back to agent to repair, take a look at the resources folder. its got a list of workshops recommended by the forumers here.

Why don't ya buy scratch remover...and try it first. And plus paint touch up.

1st...touch up the paint first then leave the car and hr or two then gently use scrathe removal to remove the big scratch.

Idea is to get the volor even all over the place...

Once happened to me and I managed to reduce the scars..... [thumbsup]
