think there is no hard and fast rule to the number of hours abeit laws governing it [:p]

I believe more and more people are working longer hours than the stipulated hours, due to our 'restructure' economy and adviced by our nanny govbermen that we should not be too choosy about the jobs and the hours. [laugh].

I'm working for a MMC

Mine company practice 44hrs per week (Break time excluded)

But most of the time or actually at all time we clocked more than 56hrs per week

We dont get overtime pay as we are executives [smallcry]

So by looking at your timing

It seem very healthy to me

So what's there of who eating who

It's your commitment to your job and requirement [;)]

We should work till we complete the job that brings sufficient $$$ to live.

E.g. 5 hrs or 50 hrs, whichever till you can make the mark.

Unless you are earning less than $1600 per month, you are no covered by law on this issue. It is up to the company to work out the terms and for you to agree when you took up the job.

Such this hard to say one la.. 44Hrs mostly exclusive of lunch, breaks and all.. And to be frank, people whu are so fussy in working time, are harder to get thru the ranks.. Its part of performance mah..

A few hours extra and you're complaining? If your pay is hourly rated and you're not paid overtime.... then ok, there's ground for greviences. But if you're an executive/exempt staff..... no hard & fast rule. Basically, the hours chalked up is the amount required to finish the job, OT pay or not is irrespective. 80 -90 hour weeks w/o OT pay, is not uncommon in my field.

I work seven days a week and on avg of 12-15 hours a day.....for an MNC as an executive....no limit on lunch time and time to go to office...sometimes, if tired, can knock off at 12 pm..smile.gif

But when work needs to be done, it can be 24hrs for consecutive days....

...Industry?? Power Gen...

Yes. Now certain industry can work long long hours but after that u must have at least 8 hours rest.

Now labour laws very complicated. Very hard to keep track liow.

This one also got no transparency anymore. Make pple confused on what can or cannot?

Anyway, all I know is now working houre r longer.

Long ago I work for american co. Only 33 hrs a week. Damm shiok. Start at 745am go home 4.14 pm. 5 day week. I think they follow US standards.

Now where to find? [:p]
