Ldawn88 2nd Gear June 16, 2006 Share June 16, 2006 think there is no hard and fast rule to the number of hours abeit laws governing it I believe more and more people are working longer hours than the stipulated hours, due to our 'restructure' economy and adviced by our nanny govbermen that we should not be too choosy about the jobs and the hours. . Tploh Clutched June 16, 2006 Share June 16, 2006 We should work till we complete the job that brings sufficient $$$ to live. E.g. 5 hrs or 50 hrs, whichever till you can make the mark.
Bhaal Neutral Newbie June 16, 2006 Share June 16, 2006 Unless you are earning less than $1600 per month, you are no covered by law on this issue. It is up to the company to work out the terms and for you to agree when you took up the job.

Dwoon 1st Gear June 17, 2006 Share June 17, 2006 A few hours extra and you're complaining? If your pay is hourly rated and you're not paid overtime.... then ok, there's ground for greviences. But if you're an executive/exempt staff..... no hard & fast rule. Basically, the hours chalked up is the amount required to finish the job, OT pay or not is irrespective. 80 -90 hour weeks w/o OT pay, is not uncommon in my field.
