Hi bros, juz want to find out more abt tyres in the market right now. There are many brands from yokohama ES100, Falken Azenis, Michelin MXV8 to Bridgestone GR80 tyres. Which are the ones that are performance tyres and which are the ones that people use for the comfort and wet grip abilities? Have u guys heard of BF goodrich tyres? I'm looking for a performance tyre that will not burst my pocket and will be good for wet and dry roads. Coz I do a lot of drifting... [hur][sly] juz kidding. Ok there are many brands but which is highly recommended in terms of price and performance. My live lies in the tyres that move my car. Thanks!

What kind of performance? Dry/wet . . . braking/cornering?

As a rule of thumb, Bridgestone Potenzas are performance biased, whereas their Turanza series are comfort based. Gr-80 is the best performing Turanza . . . its silent, silent, silent . . . even when worn. But sidewalls are soft and can't take hard cornering well. Wet traction is good, but aquaplanning wise I aint too sure. . .

Azenis looks nice and I believe they outperform the Gr-80s in terms of cornering grip. Noise wise is a no-no. Likewise for ES100, which are notoriously noisy.

BFGoodrich is a sister company of Michellin.

MXV8? . . . hmmm . . . No comments.

I think if you want peace of mind and great value for money, get Thai-made Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. Hard to go wrong with that. . . [:)]

Easy a performance tire will be a performance tire when it's installed on a performance car

Am on BF Goodrich G Force Sport. Ok for budget performance.. however, yesterday i full throttled the car from stationary. The rpm of my car went up to 4000 but the car didn't move. I think is cannot grip then suddenly launched forward.

Btw, the road was wet. Location at Laguna Country Club. [laugh]

How's the Goodrich G Force Sport in term of noise level?

I'm considering this tire too.

But worried about the noise level.

I'm using Falken ZE326 now.
