Toyo distributor now in Singapore liao...

PTS Tyre Marketing: 51, Ubi Ave 1 #01-17, Paya Ubi Industrial Park Tel:68445575.

Just went there yest morning, and found out tat the 215/45/R17 T1R costs $250 while the top range R1R costs $360/pc for 17".... btw if u happen to puncture the tyre or hit the kerb wif it, there's warranty for it, u just need to pay half the price to get a totally new tyre.

Seriously T1R over rated and over priced, for $250 on 17" I'm spoilt for choice. That's $1k for 4 pcs. There are many better options out there that cost much less.

Sold off my T1R after 2k km. It's a drift tyre, it has to break traction. So how good can the grip be. Never seen drifters using grippy semi slick tyres cos they'll prob break the diff, gear box or drive shaft while doing it.

Yap Bros contact is 68412255.

FYI, I find that their workmanship and attitude to be 'not so good' but they gave me the best price at the point in time so for me it was a kinda "smash & grab" affair... sweatdrop.gif

Good luck! sunny.gif

sorry to hear that dude [shakehead]

the guys at PTS are nice n i've yet to go down to place a deposit, BUT like orixy dude sez, he DID pay 90+/pc only so i'm still skeptic.

gonna just ask them how much orixy's tire's are n if they're around wat he paid for at Yap's then i'm putting my $ down. cuz other dealers will prob charge me more for import anyways.

hmm... maybe i can even haggle with pts a little [sly]

Can give more details on why T1R CMI? Dry, wet performance, treadwear and mileage u ran on them will be helpful. U mentioned considering other tires, so which ones are better than T1R? I'm interested to know as T1R is one of the tires on my shortlist.

T1R dry grip is vague, T1S was better. It's over rated cos of the movie, it's a drift tyre; it has to 'break' traction. Used it for 2k km and truly dissappointed by the perf. Threw them out.

BS RE050 is very good but ex.

AD07 gives great dry grip if you can bear with the noise and poor wet grip.

GY F1 GS-D3, get only the German made. Decent dry grip and Great wet grip. Great if you live in Seattle or UK. Avoid the low cost Thai made as it's a very diff tyre. lower grip levels and higher noise.

Hankook R-S2 is a nice bet. Great dry grip, gd wet grip and great price to beat. Many trackies are using them

RE 01R, great dry grip. Wet grip is iffy. Although we dun live in Seattle or UK, the sudden flash storm can throw quite a bit of water and make puddles. Safety is very impt. Get a well all round tyre slightly biased to dry. We do not need a wet tyre in Sgp. Decent wet get suffices.

My flend drives to KL for work often and the R-S2 are fine even in heavy rain. Topping mid 100s even in rain.

Hi there,

Sorry just saw the thread... I got it from Yap Brothers at $110/pcs for the 195/50 15 size.

Includes Nitrogen fill up and gst liow if I can remember correctly.

Anyway the tire is still running well and fine... Though I find the Trumpio Gu:wn grips slightly better around corners... Maybe it is the tire pressue..

In any case, it is not a bad choice and I think is worth it... Else how about the Revspec? Dunno much about it though but the thread design looks good...

Mooooooooooooooo

Bro, try pumping slightly more on the T1Rs. For me, 220 vs 240 performed noticeably different. 240 much sharper handling and better cornering. thumbsup.gif

Bro, I think you should seriously consider not getting the T1R since there are so many condemnation posts here... unsure.gif

Try the RS2 and let everyone know whether they are really good or not.
