Yuhsuan Neutral Newbie June 6, 2006 Share June 6, 2006 There are some issues with going active: - tuning. Going active is NEVER a plug&play event. - quality of components. Please do not take offense when I say that the soundstream component set that you have may not be of a high enough quality for you to run them in active mode. Reason being that in more affordable component sets, the tweeters and midbass actually depend on the passive crossover to provide some sort of correction/filtering to sound good. When you take the passive xover out, all the negative aspects of the drivers will be shown clearly. You have a very good HU, but I would stick to a passive setup. I recently heard another bro's setup as he wanted to buy one of my amps. One of the nicest systems I've heard (DLS speakers, Butler amp, Blaupunkt (spelling?) HU), and it is passively run. Mdvic Neutral Newbie June 6, 2006 Author Share June 6, 2006 (edited) hm... tks for the advise, never knows about How good is the Sound output for this Soundstream speakers, who know's my present front speakers and tweeter might be better than the present one. I have to try then i will know the different lah. Hope it turn out to be better man...If not i will SCREAM,......... My present Tweeter is super loud never heard anything like it b4.... so i dont know is it good or no good! when i bought it the guy told me its' output is about 150 watts But anyway i have heard my frnd setup, thats what make me change the whole setup. Hope this round it will be at least on par with his ICE... I want something which is loud and STIFF IN THE bASS, cLEAR in the vocal and sourround sound.. after tune the central sound shoud be either at the front center of the car or at the top light switch lor.... you think can achive this ??? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited June 6, 2006 by Mdvic ↡ Advertisement
