That price is too much man . The gr80 should cost you about 100++ for 15 inch tyre

Me bought at $95/pc w/o GST!

taken from the post I made 3 years ago...

prior before going down, ah siao have agreed to sell me the rims and tyres at $500. I went back to the shop after 1 week later...

when I was there.... I told him, I want this rim which he had agreed the pricing earlier at $500..

Guess what, he says, no way.... must be $600...

Then I start walking walking.... then he says, $550... I told him, NO...

when I got into my car.... he says.... okie lah $500..

But even after we have agreed on $500..... this is what happen next......

*** extract from my post 3 years ago *****

This was what happen after Rim's price was confirmed. He fitted those alan key type of nut for the rims..

Peter:" the nuts are expensive, cost $60. you must cover me back some."

Gad:" No way lah, confirm price liao, how can you change."

Peter:" the nuts are expensive, cost $60. you must cover me back some."

Gad:" NO lah, you take out the nuts lor, use normal ones lah."

Peter:" Normal ones cannot fit, must use special one"

Gad:" Since you already know normal one cannot fit, it should have been included in the price in the first place..."

Peter:" the nuts are expensive, cost $60. you must cover me back some."

Gad:" NO lah, you take out the nuts lor, use normal ones lah."

Peter:" okie...pay me $550."

Gad:" NO way, $525"

Peter:" okie...pay me $540."

Gad:" NO way, $525"

Peter:" okie...pay me $530."

Gad:" NO way, $525"

Peter:" the nuts are expensive, cost $60. you must cover me back some, I lost money leh."

Gad was thinking.... **** lah, give you that $5 more.. :" okie lah "

NOTE: If you realise, the Peter aka Ah siao, likes to repeat what he said... My tactics... just reply the same answer... laugh.gif

General Automotive at 62148300 ..

I have not change as well and may have to look at soon cos mine is already into its 45k ..

How is this tyre in your opinion. I am now using Continental Premium Contact and for me quietness and ability to have good wet/dry grip is important..

From another thread, people have commented that Hankook V8RS is better than GR80.

That is inside my consideration as well.. You might want to look at that thread. Apparently they did a groupbuy in April for this. I think it's the latio people.

The problem is we can't really know if it is good for our needs.

BTW, what is the price for Hankook for that config? If the price isnt that much of a diff could be wiser to get a more known name..

That's the problem with tyres lor..

Either we test it out but got to live with it, if not, listen to comments from others..

Hankook should be quite ok given its partnership with the big names..

But I do agree with you on the direct branding issue.
