Elfenstar 3rd Gear June 1, 2006 Share June 1, 2006 Ok, the time for putting on new tyres is coming close. In my size of 185/60R14, these would be my top 2 choices. They're both all rounders which is what i'm looking at now. The both are just above the aud$120 mark each. On a scale of 10, 3 pts for wet grip, 2 pts for dry grip, 2 pts for aquaplanning, 2 pts for comfort and 1 pt for noise. Between these 2, from your experiences which would be a better buy and why. ↡ Advertisement
Furrynadz 5th Gear June 1, 2006 Share June 1, 2006 cpc is old design but proven, so much that got kumho clones, hankook clones, matador clones, even cdrive is a somewhat cpc clone..

Frozebite Neutral Newbie June 4, 2006 Share June 4, 2006 Most of the guys here change to larger rima and then change to these tyres
Elfenstar 3rd Gear June 4, 2006 Author Share June 4, 2006 Unfortunately i don't value my life by the price ratio of my wheels to tyres. I doubt many of the guys here do either. While we're at it, how are the school holidays?

Elfenstar 3rd Gear June 4, 2006 Author Share June 4, 2006 48 posts from the time you signed on this evening till now??? you don't have to answer every post you know... Take it easy coz a lot of us here do not like one liner replies. And while we're on tyres, i don't guage tyres by price, i choose them by quality as they are the only things that keep my car in contact with the road. They affect everything from handling to grip to stopping. For example i would choose the sumitomo HTR200 over the falken ZE326's anyday as although theire abt 75% of the price, they outperform the 326 in every way. Elfenstar 3rd Gear June 11, 2006 Author Share June 11, 2006 (edited) Wah why you never say so earlier Heng I'm going to change tyres on tues Are you serious that the CPC2's outperform the DZ101 and ES100's in grip?? The ES100 outperforms the C Drives by a mile.... and they also were on par with the G3's in the dry and outperformed them in the wet... How's the wet grip on the CPC2's? Any idea what their pricing is like in 185/60R14 in sg? They'll be costing me ard aud $130 here. roughly the same price as the G3's, G-force sport, C Drives and pirelli dragons. i will not hesitate to get them on tues if they're as good as you say.
