Guys, thinking of having these install on my ride. One too many bumps on the bumper prompting me to do so ... as much as I don't want to ... any issues on this ... I check with the service engineer at Audi ... Votex reverse sensors cost $450 [hur] including installation ... after market cost $120 for 2 eyes and $180 for 4 eyes ... any issues? any recommendations?

Since there are already 2 sensors and bumps are also there, leave it alone and drive a little more careful. Nothing beats the driver's sensor.wink.gif

Currently no sensors ... so I intend to install and then respray the bumper ... can't tahan the scratches ... my ride is only 6 months old ...

FYI, saw a few cars with Video camera fitted to the back of the car, apparently for reversing.smile.gif You might want to get it.

Mark II eyeballs are the best. Anyway, try getting someone to guide you while reversing, and stop you when you are about 6 inches from the back, stare hard into your mirror and look out for markers on your car windscreen to understand the distant. Relying on sensors will bring other problems..

that is what I usually do ... but honestly my judgement has been quite out of late ... signs of ageing [sweatdrop][blush]

Go for the cheaper ones, works perfectly and no point paying so much more for the Votex ones. Spend the money on other mods that would worth more... [sly]
