Bumpy ride on new Fit

Hi all,

 

have you encounter your ride to be bumpy?

Eversince my friend bought the car, all my friends who sat or drove feels the same.

Bought it to the mechanic and release some of the air pressure on the tires but still feel the same?

 

Wondering what's the problems.

it is on 14" rim with dunlop tires.

Is it bumpy for all speed or just certain speed? I had this bumpy ride at 70 km/h ever since I bought it new. Complained to agent and they "tried" to do some wheel alignment but did not solve the problem.

 

I strongly suspect its the tyres so recently I just changed to a new set of tyres and my ride is now as smooth as silk (even with a +1 rim upgrade)...

 

My suspect is that before they deliver the car to you, it has been sitting on a concrete floor open car park for weeks or even months. So probably the tyre hardens and is no longer a perfect circle...

Suspension too stiff. Put some oil. or get 4 moses lim size ppl to sit inside the car and go for a ride. Exercise the suspension first.

Some cars have stiffer suspension as compared to other makes IMHO, it is not due to wheel alignment issues To reduce this stiffer feeling, you should not over inflated your tyres or another possible reason is that the current rubbers have hardened

My Jazz is 20000km already and it is still very bumpy.

 

I think it is the suspension.

there might be some prob wif the suspension...send for svcg at your 5000km and let the mechanic rectify...

Have you manage to compare ride with other FIT or Jazz? Could be the hard suspension set up that you may not be used to. What tyres wheel and tyre size?

I remembered the last time I test drove the jazz, my passenger and I noticed how bumpy the suspension was, especially going over humps. Think it's a problem with all jazz and fit, definitely not comfy suspension like toyota. asia.vtec.net also said so.

juz got my fit last month. felt the same thing too but after i went Msia to change the tyre and rim to 15" the ride feels much better now.
