Eazterence Neutral Newbie May 26, 2006 Share May 26, 2006 I have this question in my mind. I'm actually going to do up a bodykit for my FL N16. However, I'm afraid to see great increase in my FC. So roughly how heavy does a 4 piece bodykit, consisting of Front and Back Bumper Lid and Side Skirts, weigh? Anybody with b4 and after mildege clocked b4? =) ↡ Advertisement
Kelpie 2nd Gear May 26, 2006 Share May 26, 2006 insignificant impact on FC. A sack of rice may be. Regards,
Eazterence Neutral Newbie May 26, 2006 Author Share May 26, 2006 A sack of rice. Then I think its alright. PU and fibreglass, which is lighter? Anyway. thanks alot for your respond. =)
Kelpie 2nd Gear May 26, 2006 Share May 26, 2006 1. I've full bodykit on my ES5, don't see changes in FC before and after bodykit. PU is lighter. You're most welcomed. 2. Actually, your concern should be aerodynamic drag. Well designed bodykit suppose to diffuse drag/resistance when travelled at high speed. PU dun crack easily too right? Yes, PU is more flexi than FG. But FG is supposedly heavier and stronger though it doesn't flex as much as PU. From what I know, FG is also easier to repair than PU too. I've a mixture of both on my car. Regards,
Eazterence Neutral Newbie May 26, 2006 Author Share May 26, 2006 Oh I see.. Think I'd still go for the lighter alternative. Haha..
