Chrissng Neutral Newbie July 5, 2006 Share July 5, 2006 hi.... me installed ez stab for abt 1 mth or so... feedback.. acceleration smoother in the sense that gear change at lower rpm... FC almost negligible... but can afford to be a bit more heavy footed to get the same FC... but again.. negligible... aircon.... seemed cooler... but then hot.. after a while... negligible... hahahaha.... erm.... thats all lor... Sony 1st Gear July 6, 2006 Share July 6, 2006 At $90 per set, don't expect miracle or very significant improvement. Having said that, pls do not let it give you the impression that it's not worth a try. If you are sensitive enough, there some improvement over certain things such as smooth engine rev better acceralation, esp for auto transmission, cooler air con (not too sure coz my air car is electronic controlled) and maybe better distribution of electric power. Anyway, it's only $90, if it doesn't work, take it as part of grounding or some light blinking device. Cheers
Siaoboy Neutral Newbie July 6, 2006 Share July 6, 2006 i already have pivot and grounding in my car. So im unlikely to throw 90sgd away. Rather use it for car wash
Sony 1st Gear July 6, 2006 Share July 6, 2006 If you already have a VS, then no need to look at others unless yours CMI. Frankly I have tried the $250+ BuddyClub Racing Condenser Spec,CVS, Pivot and EZ-Stab. I would say the "cost more than twice the amt" Buddyclub VS is the best but result is not a vast difference. The other 3 are almost the same but it's all base on my own "feel".
Siaoboy Neutral Newbie July 6, 2006 Share July 6, 2006 exactly ...but some claimed that EZSTAB is not a VS. . Anyway, thanks for clarifying
Sony 1st Gear July 6, 2006 Share July 6, 2006 Maybe it's not called a VS lar but it serve almost the same purpose of what the "general VS" shd do. Actually it's good to distance it away from VS since the EZ-stab do not need ground cable. Others come with minimum 3 point grounding. I find that the EZ-stab will make your engine bay look neater. The only downside is the large box. Hear say the new ones are better looking.
Chrissng Neutral Newbie July 7, 2006 Share July 7, 2006 for $90 for that bit difference ... ok la... coz i m not sure if i spend more.. the difference will be more also...

Vociferouskitten Neutral Newbie July 13, 2006 Share July 13, 2006 same right leg leh...before and after ez-stab. but agree the shifting is slightly smoother. but FC wise....
Aimnfire 4th Gear July 13, 2006 Share July 13, 2006 IMO fc the most you can get is about 5% (thats what they claim) better that those things that claim up to 25%

Sony 1st Gear October 11, 2006 Share October 11, 2006 But at the same time, these companies also built the cost of R&D into the price of the product Bro, I believe your reply to my above in the other EZ-stab post have been removed.. maybe the Admin find it not "suitable" in their sponsor's thread. Can repeat here or PM me since you don't accept PM. Cheers
Mikeyeo Clutched October 13, 2006 Share October 13, 2006 (edited) I have an ez-stab installed to my car battery about 2 months back. The one I have is the version before the latest red colour transparent cover. In fact, before I was convinced that the device work, I had numerous communications with the local inventor Dr. Jonathan Wong asking him many queries. He was very confident of his product that he assured me that if I do not feel any improvement on my engine after installing his product, I could just return back to him and get a full refund. No question ask. Besides the locally designed ez-stab, I have also went into the website to do my own homework in studying the other oversea brands. My reason for installing certain devices in my car are primarily for what these products are specifically designed for. Certain products are designed to provide slightly added boost to the car, electrical, better ignition, better fuel consumption, etc. It is impossibe to find a single aftermarket product that could provide all functions such as an all-in-one device. Same goes to the original engine of our cars. There are countless parts, components and computerised devises in order for the car to function. As Dr. Wong has described of his product, the main reason behind the drain of a car engine's power - the charging system that continues its charging of batteries when the car engine is running, even when they have been fully charged. This causes unnecessary fuel consumption. His product is similar to any others that provide a balanced charging system, one that gives a much more stable voltage while reducing the load on the engine. At the same time, it achieve increased engine responsiveness, acceleration and power. Furthermore, such device also protects the battery and ECU for repeated heavy usage within service life. Eventually, I decided to install the ez-stab as I feel that if the overseas and our local product are of the same or comparable specifications, there's no reason for me to try out our local products. Well, there was an improvement in the performance of my car after the installation. All these devices can only improve the engine, etc, to a certain limit but end of the day, the driving habit or style of the individual driver has a part to play.
