How about FC? I hope can get the comment from those ppl who are drive this car before.

Hi,

Kia Rio 1.4M at $38k now? Does this price comes with some form of "must get" loan or insurance thing or the price is inclusive of some finance interest rebate?

If its the cash price, it is a car worth considering.

Do you know a Kia sales person who is able to sell the rio at $38k cash?

Thanks

erm. Since more hyundais on road, chances of a hyundai claim should be higher, rite?

Unless hyundai drivers less likely to get into accidents than kia drivers. [:/]

Hi BRANONG, have you ever consider the 1.4L auto. I believe it has auto power windows and FC better than the 1.1L.

It's cheaper than the 1.6L, lower road tax and insurance and the power is there. I was at Komoco a few weeks back to test drive the new 2.0L Tuscani coupe and enquired about the Getz as well. Was informed that the 1.4L auto is more in demand than the 1.6L.

You might want to re-confirm the above with Komoco.

I asked around my friend who drives a getz the 1.1 seems to be more fuel economical then the 1.4 Apparently the 1.4 is a guzzler when it comes to the petrol.

True.. the 1.1 Getz drinks less than the 1.4 which in turns drink less than the 1.6.. Not forgetting the auto versions drinks more than the manuals.. [:p]

depends.. if u wanna go places in a hurry or carry loads, bigger cc should give better FC cos less strain on the engine..

however, for relaxed driving, 1.1 can move the pig body of a getz comfortably enuff, so FC will definitely be better [;)]

between getz and picanto, i daresay tt more % of picanto drivers are inexperienced drivers/first time drivers or car owners.. cos u wud want the smaller/cheaper/easier to park car if u were in tt category.

no discrimination or whatever, i'm just guessing the profile.

i've driven the 1.4A. the gear shifting is not as smooth or as "intelligent" as say a toyota or honda. but imho, better than the chevy Aveos i've tried.

thus, the autobox in a hyundai may be a weak point when it comes to FC, as compared to the manual gearbox of the same brand.

however, i have two colleagues driving getz. one 1.4A, the other 1.6A. both report abt 12-13km/l. not fantastic, but good enuff la.. [nod]

the 1.1 on NSH can only return abt 13km/l when going at speeds of 130-150. small engine not efficient for cruising at high speed. [thumbsdown]

I am an owner of the 1.1m... Its a rather basic car, no-frills, I dun even have reverse sensor..

Its a comfortable enough car, not powerful, can travel at 110km/hr with min noise...

Comparing to 1.6m, I test drve b4, drive my friend's b4, I can say, 1.6m is damn powerful, has a nicer looking interior, but compare to Vios, lancer in the 1.6m cat, its a bit diff comparison also, but interior of these 2 others win getz...

performance, vios seems powerful, but has a light body so seems power only

same same [grouphug]

it serves my purpose well enough, as a student with "sponsored" car. It has taken me to kuantan (cherating beach) and penang (brought my Gf, mountainbike and bike gear along also in the back), camerons and genting without complaints [thumbsup]

i crave for more power, but if i were to drop in the 1.6 engine, after a few months no kick liao.. the shiokness will only last for awhile.. [:p]

it's the mindset, if i'm content with what i have, i'm happy! [:)]

Hi Bros, recently got into the Getz trend of cars fever.

Was wanting to get a Getz 1.1M or 1.6M. But after reading some pros

and cons of the 1.1M like no power windows, ABS and airbag. I got a little

Sceptical about it. Not because im a unsafe driver but i just prefer to have

this as a safety feature. Just in case type of mentality. However, I read that

the pickup isnt good as compare to the 1.6M. Perhaps need some of ur comments

if i should get a 1.1M or 1.6M. FC wise im a little confused. Some say 1.1M better

some say 1.6M better even when rather light footed. So i presume i will take an aggregate

value. Thanks bro.

Depends on your right foot. If you can't get use to 1.1's power, you tend to floor it, there goes your FC too.
