Me.. =)

I tested both for 1 tank. Cuz got a friend whu had K&N. Used for a tank, was happen as better FC and better respond compared to stock filter. After which, I butt itchy and went to get Simota to try. Until, now I'm still with Simota, as respond, around the same as K&N. FC is better than what K&N can give, but by only around 20KM per tank.

oh good, i am kind of incline towards simota, read that its easier to maintain, no need to oil like K&N. its cheaper than K&N right?

hi

The K&N filter needs to be aired dry, which many of us dun have this luxury to do so.

As a result, many workshops use the airgun to blow it.

Does also make my engine sound louder.

Performance wise - i dun feel visible difference but would believe it does helps.

Recommend getting the cleaning kit to DIY, very simple.

Good luck.

Filtration up til now I think still alright. But what I think its, dun expect a Stainless Steel one to filtrate better than a paper one. Haha..

hi

when u do decide to get an aftermarket filter, be sure to keep the original as u will need it when ur aftermarket filter is undergoing servicing - remember need to air dry naturally?

I think this is one of the trade-offs of using SS filters. Read b4 somewhere, if you check the engine oil, it's a little more dirty so requires more engine oil change. Anyone can confirm this?

i want to sell off my 1 day old Simota SS filter.. any takers? selling at $50, self collect. [laugh]

going to buy stock air filter tom and put in liaoz [sly]

but the car really really powderful.. so POWDERFUL that wacking @ 3gear from 2k rpm to 5.xk rpm is a breeze... 40km/h to 90km/h is a breeze... like "vtec" sound turned on [laugh]

me no racer, want to go back to stock alreadie

Sis, i'm currently on Simota SS [:)]

All i can say is that it save the hazzle of buying stock paper filter for replacement & the car is slightly more eager to rev [:)]

However, cons of it is that if you are worried about the filtration you may wanna change your engine oil 1K or 1.5K before each 10K servicing [:p]

Previously, i'm on those K&N filters too. The cons is that the re-oiling part after we have washed the filter because if one re-oiled it too thick, it might damage your ride's air flow sensor [;)]

The filter is good as it allows more air intake.. but filtration might be compromised, nothing beats the stock for filtration..

however, engine really eager to rev... in third gear, i can easily overtake most auto cars.. except >2l lah... mine is a manual car, with century sprint @ 9.8s stock...
