Voxster Neutral Newbie May 18, 2006 Share May 18, 2006 yeah u gotta pay the transfer fee, normally bet $700 to 1500 dependng on car. Take a walk at AML, Tagore Lane, West Coast, etc to compare prices. Can check out the online used car sites as well. Dealers normally try to sell locally for 1 mth, if they can't, then they will export. The trick is to note when the ad is put up, then go back to negotiate the price 3-4 weeks later. U may be able to squeeze a gd deal. Of course the car may be sold by the time u go back. That's the risk. It's hard to find a good used car with low mileage, accident free, gd price. The moment one is available, the salesmen will call their contacts to give them 1st right of refusal, then they will advertise. Try to leave your contact with dealers, and ask them to call/sms u when they have found your required brand/model. This way u are always kept in the loop, and get notified first. Remember the gd cars are normally sold within 1-2 days. cheers and gd luck in your hunt.
Metalslug Neutral Newbie May 20, 2006 Author Share May 20, 2006 so guys, tell me whats a good profit for the dealer? i wan to calculate to see how much they earn. 1-2k?
Spurman Supercharged February 21, 2007 Share February 21, 2007 Dear guys, I think this thread is rather helpful, but I realised my paper value for my Getz 1.1m bought 2005, Dec, if I de-register it in 2007, July, only after 1.7yrs of use is only worth 19k. I bought my bugger at 40k and now it says 19k after 1.7yrs only. Is this a mistake? I did my COE and PARF rebate at onemotoring and I was shocked. Kinda like kelong leh, how can so low..... I dunno how much I will get for my body value as well.... Can I get 25k after selling off this car?? Was trying to change to a Lancer.... hee
Sfhuang Clutched February 21, 2007 Share February 21, 2007 Hi Spurman, your Getz depreciation really too high liao. I think you should keep the car for a few more years until you get 5-6k annual depreciation, then consider changing.
Geo36 Neutral Newbie February 21, 2007 Share February 21, 2007 I think it quite difficult to wait until the depreciation become 5-6k. Around 8k will be a very gd value.
Keithpapa Neutral Newbie February 21, 2007 Share February 21, 2007 getz body is around 1 to 2k according to my vendor. He also wants to sell off to get Vios. 25k probably for 2nd hand car market not export value. Can ask the dealer. ↡ Advertisement
