Penalty for driving an OPC or a WEC without a valid e-Day Licence

 

It is a serious offence to use an OPC or a WEC on the roads during the restricted hours without a valid licence. This includes the use of the OPC/WEC with an undated e-Day Licence where the owner/driver had failed to enter the usage date for the e-Day Licence by 2359 hours on the next day after the OPC/WEC was used. The driver or registered owner of the OPC/WEC who causes or permits the vehicle to be driven during the restricted hours without a valid e-Day Licence shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be punished with a fine of not exceeding $5,000, and in the case of second or subsequent conviction, a fine of not exceeding $10,000.

last saturday i having my ROM and drove the red plate car from home to ROM place in the morning. because of too busy, i think to buy the e-license after the function.

 

I through it can be purchase it after 48 hours. In the monday morning i think to buy but just realise it can only buy until the sunday 1159. What can I do? call the LTA?

Are you revised OPC or not? If yes, then forget abt e-license cuz you can anyhow drive on Sat mah.

congrats on your ROM. Buy your car plate number and hope ur 4D winnings cover the penalty.

 

on a more serious note. jus drop by LTA and declare. Then go up to level 2 to fill in report and go for mini interview. then go level 1 make payment. Good news is 1st offense is waived. but they only waive it once.

 

i prefer the paper OPC if you ask me. jus buy and keep. wont forget to tear lor.
