Pumped full tank and the needle is at the "F" mark.

After driving 25km, the needle near 3/4 mark !!!!!

i topped up at 225km again today, and amount pumped is 20.3l

So i think the consumption is ok, just the needle problem....anyone else had sunny fuel gauge needle gone bad ?

Regards.

It is like that, sunny fuel tank level is not linear, first half drop very fast, 2nd half drop slow, especially last 1/4 can run abt 250km [mad]

Some of the Mazda 2 bros has this type of problem too [:)] Think you better pay a visit back to the agent [:)] If your ride is still under warranty, it should be free [;)]

It's normal. Mine covers about 80 to 90km for the first 1/4, depending on how full it's topped up, and the needle can go quite a bit above the "F" mark. And when the needle has dropped to the 1/4 mark, I would have covered about 400km.

Now, that means people who want to pump petrol in JB should not buy a Sunny. [laugh]

Believe it or not, my sunny's fuel runs opposite from what you said. Full tank can clock 420KM. First half tank around 240KM, last half 180KM. Haha..

My car can travel abt 220km from full to 3/4 mark. Can pump abt 20 lit b4 it's full again.

Like that your car not worth to pump petrol in JB. If u gonna pump in JB, u better get the agent to fix it for you.

Maybe they can even "adjust" to show 3/4 after u have travelled about 400km. [sly]

But I think most car's fuel gauge, the needle will "move" up & down as u drive. Sometimes my needle shows 3/4 when I reach home but when I go to work the next day, it's almost touching the "F" mark.

Mine is quite simulate as your, 80 to 90km for the first 1/4, and 200 to 220km for half, 400 to 420km for 1/4, finally 520 to 550km for full tank and fill up abt 38 liters [;)]

forget about to pump petrol in JB, now RM20 enter fee plus Malaysia petrol price also increased, not worth [shakehead]
