I believe fuel usage should up but will it give any trouble like engine over heat or choke? fuel consume over by 10% is ok if power gain torque sufficient to have good drive car over taking and hill climb. Nope, it won't work. Putting bigger injectors will not increase your power at all. You need your car to be properly tuned to get more power. Throwing more fuel into the combustion chamber w/o adequate air and proper ignition timing will actually reduce power. ↡ Advertisement
Requiemdk 1st Gear November 11, 2010 Share November 11, 2010 Actually, the 4A-FE's engine's bottleneck is its weak (really restrictive) fuel injectors. People overseas have done things like putting the 3ZZ-FE's and yes... the 7A-FE's injectors into it before. Properly done and tuned, you do get somewhat noticeable gains. On the other hand, if you're looking for some serious mods, just dump the 4A-FE and go for the 4A-GZE (this thing can take quite extreme twincharging). Or the 4A-GE if NA power is your thing.
