DIY CAI to replace surbo?

i am thinking of removing the two black cone which has twin surbo in them, then use the plastic container to replace them. meaning that the grey elbow will join with the plastic container top rather than the black cone... (note: i will remove the cover lid for air intake)

from my opinion is that the intake mouth is bigger than the surbo setup but after i do this surbo will be wasted...

anyone can advise on the effects on performance and other concerns?

if thats the intake from atmo pipe then i suggest getting some flexible hose and hose clamping it on... can choose the air direction and its easier to put on.

there is problem no using the container...my concern is to whether use surbo or the container?

using hose the intake won't be so big...thought using container can have bigger intake...

without air being forced into it (e.g it facing right out of the car and towards where the air will be coming from when moving)), it makes no difference coz theres restriction (hole size) to enter the airbox, unless that piping is from airbox to engine...

so you mean that the intake surface area doesn't affect as the piping after the airbox to the engine is still small right?
