Too bad the current Carrfour Suntec Soft99 products promotion didn't carry in the highly rated "Ultra Glaco"

 

 

Only saw "Glaco Jet" and "Glaco ROLL ON" both selling at S$9.00 .

 

 

Any1 got lobang for "Ultra Glaco" ?

think the repellant effects caused the wipers to be jerky....

OK the problem with these stuff is that your wipers will indeed become jerky after a while. You need to be above 40mph which is around 65kph. That is expressway speed not suburban Orchard Road driving or CTE jam driving.

 

Weigh this option out carefully. If you travel expressway usuall with no jams. Use it. It really helps because I use silane treatment for my windshield. The drawback is when I encounter slow traffic is that I use my wiper wash more often thanks to Gadgeter's advice. Wiper wash fluid is not just plain water. Make sure you use those with the wash concentrate. They lubricate the wipers to stop the juddering.

i don't get it. after you apply rain-x, your windscreen is so smooth and slippery BUT the wiper judders like mad. made me so irritated i ended up claying my windscreen.

Its not smooth or slippery. It is water repelling because the surface layer of glass has become silicon rubber. Now try rubbing silicon rubber with natural rubber. You are going to get some sticking even with water. So by using wiper wash liquid which most likely contains wiper wash pump lubricants and alcohol, you can wipe smoothly with it. It only lasts for a while and you have to spray again.

 

All these silane treatments only work if you travel fast.

Yes. I use Armorall wiper wash concentrate. Be warned. You will be using it a lot in slow traffic.

Hmmmm...interesting claimed by "Ultra Glaco" that it contain PTFE (Telfon) coating and Silicone free formula, probably these will reduce/prevent wipers judder issue...

 

So any1 got lobang on this "Ultra Glaco" for me (guinea pig) here to test out?
