why go back to BM, they will just send your car to outside workshop to do it, too time consuming dizzy.gifdizzy.gifdizzy.gif

just find out which outside workshop that your insurance can use and give it to the workshop in the early morning and you should be able to collect it after work, just pray and hope that it don't rain during that few hours after the windscreen was replaced wink.gifwink.gifwink.gif of course you must make prior arrangement with the workshop so that they can prepare the insurance claim and source for your windscreen before you send it in for replacement thumbsup.gifthumbsup.gifthumbsup.gif

call insurance to ask for the workshop to claim

AFAIK, the windscreen seals/sealant will take sometime to cure fully. Don't think our present rainy weather is of help in this area. Maybe you can consider to do that when the weather turn sunny.

Just remember that even after 1 day, the sealant needs a longer time to cure fully.

FYI there is a better quality sealant which costs abt $50 more to use but most ws dont use it due to costs. Ask the ws if u can pay more for them to use it. It prevents rust from forming around the windscreen area.

When I changed my windscreen once, the ws reminded me not to go over humps or bumpy roads too fast else it might dislodge the windscreen.

After a few days sud be as good as it gets. Just b gentle the first couple of days.

My replacement without ins wud have cost >$500. I only paid $50 to re-instate the windscreen ins cover.

Most windscreen crack will get worse as the days go by. Also if u travel fast, the wind pressure will cause the glass to totally crack.

Get it done as soon as possible. If the crack is small, some ws can have it repaired.

Mine was repaired abt 7 years ago & it's still as good as new. But the damage cannot be too severe to b repaired.

[thumbsup]

Sometime back, my windscreen was struck by a UFO leaving a 1cm line. Between replacement and repair, I chose repair as i don't want to mess with the factory default seals.
