Abba Neutral Newbie May 1, 2007 Share May 1, 2007 anyone ever used both FALKEN RT615 and HANKOOK RS2 before? care to give me some suggestion on both tire? i am stucked between this two choice. tire profile will be 215/40R17. i am fan of corners and grip is my priority. R-S2 offers a betta balance in terms of dry, wet grip. 4 wide grooves for water dispersion, 3 straight ribs for straight line stability and direction changes ↡ Advertisement
Sinifm Neutral Newbie May 5, 2007 Share May 5, 2007 changed to 225/45/17 RS2 today. was using F1 (german) before this RS2 set. impressed with the sharp steering response, dry holding. F1 with its soft side wall, car is "leaning" when cornering. with RS2, car feel "flater" during corner and more confidence. can push 10-20km/h higher speed over F1 at corners (my guess-imation). yet to try in the wet. feel RS2 is noiser than F1. overall pretty satisfied with RS2. Both were Korea made and rated UHP Ecsta SPT 15" @ $90 whereas RS-2 15" @ $120 Good feedback for Ecsta SPT http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresult...ay.jsp?type=UHP Edited May 20, 2007 by Dfx16

Godfinger Neutral Newbie June 2, 2007 Share June 2, 2007 I have been on RS-2 since Feb 2007. It is already 12K on the mileage now. Notice a bit wear on the side profile. Grip is still good but not as wonderful during the first few Ks. Was wondering do you encounter any premature wear issue from customers so far. Just a bit concern that the thread wear is getting too fast.
Robertoon Neutral Newbie June 2, 2007 Author Share June 2, 2007 hi bro...is your alignment alright? seems like either your alignment is out or you have open up yr camber....
Godfinger Neutral Newbie June 3, 2007 Share June 3, 2007 Yes. Chamber open up. Perhaps that is the cause for wear on the side particularly.
Abba Neutral Newbie June 6, 2007 Share June 6, 2007 Wear rate is considered good for this grip levels on R-S2. My flend's tyre (on WRX) lasted ~40k km, considering he goes up to KL wkly for work.
Zulu4 Neutral Newbie June 6, 2007 Share June 6, 2007 yup, wear rate's reasonable for a performance tire. was gonna go with rs2 again now that i've upsized my rims but was quoted a price that was higher than equivalent yoko ad07... pity. ↡ Advertisement
