Reason for changing to 3M Nomad Car Mats or equivalent

Hi Bros,

 

Couldn't find any opinions on the above. Since such mats are quite ex, (at least $60), why reason for replacing the original car mats to these aftermarket mats?

I think becoz these mats can trap dust and dirt better, so u wont get so much dust and dirt on the floor of the car itself..

Yup. They are pretty useful in trapping dirts.

 

I bought them coz my original carpet is beige color. Easily dirty.

 

Anyway, mine was a group buy from Honda Forum. Cost me only $28. (3M lookalike)

Another reason is cos if it rains and you get into the car and wet the original car mats, if you don't sun and clean them regularly, they stink after a while.

Plus the original car mats fray after some time.

Yupz agreed bro. My daughter once vomitted in the car and on the original mat, which is like carpet. It's difficult to clean also. The current ones that I am using, U can just spray it with water and it will dry up fast, with no smell or stains on it.

My last original 3M last me almost 5 years before the driver side torn due to my shoe heel friction but the rest of the mats was still in very good conditon

I also thought the same at first, but after checking it out at the store and buying custom cut from the forum here, it actually looked ok. The 3M one is thick, soft and feels like cushion under your feet, even better than carpet. Very practical and extremely easy to clean.

they dont stink whn it rains if u dun sun them.

it traps dirt better.

and u get dirt out of it easier too. most dirt will be stuck on the mat unlike the original ones they tend to fall off the in to the car and u have to do additional cleaning, ex vacuuming

correct, it drinks but I still can tahan for it to drink. Using Shell was like 5 years ago, that time was driving B13, B13 was not that thirsty.
