Am currently driving a Lancer...

Like to know the need to do engine oil flush and ATF flush at 40KM servicing...

understand that flushing will clear out the old oil and fluid, so that the new oil or fluid will run in the engine and auto-transmission... If you ask any workshop, believe they will tell u that flushing is better than replacing the oil and fluid.... of cause flushing will be more expensive so is flushing really required at 40k servicing?

My ride is '01 Laser. Changed to mineral oil (to save $$) last mth after 4yrs of using Fully Synthetic Oil. Felt car a little 'jerky' & drive not as smooth as b4 aft the engine oil chg. Regret now.... [bigcry] Thinking of chg'g it back to Fully Synthetic. Is it nec to do flushing b4 changing the eng oil?

Cld it be the spark plugs? [:|] nvr chg plugs when i chged the eng oil....

IMHO, you should flush your ATF at 40K [:)] For engine oil flush, there are many brands in the market [nod] Jus buy and pour it into your engine 1 day or few hours before your oil change (Depending on the instuctions given) [;)]
