Tkew 1st Gear April 3, 2006 Share April 3, 2006 Everyone, I am driving a Chevrolet Optra 1.6 Auto. My stock tyre is Yokohama S306 195/55/R15. While my stock tyre's grip is good, it is way too noisy for my liking. I need to replace my tyre soon, and I would like to get everyone's comment on the 2 tyres I have shortlisted. Please give me your comments as you have driven before, not from magazines/reviews etc. I am looking for a tyre which has good grip and reasonable quietness. (Ya, we all know that grip and quietness is inversely proportioned) Thank you very much. ↡ Advertisement
Slee Neutral Newbie April 3, 2006 Share April 3, 2006 Comfort I think pple wld go for BS GR80. No experience with Precedas but had CSC2 before, good tire but since mine was low profile 17", comfort was not really top drawer.
Anakin Clutched April 3, 2006 Share April 3, 2006 (edited) me using preceda now. no complains, to me grip is good wet/dry (but i never cheong one ). noise is ok as well. can't compare against conti as not used it before. but if i were to change tires now, i will just stick to preceda (satisfied user) unless conti is cheaper . if conti is cheaper i will consider changing since heard it is not bad also ... Furrynadz 5th Gear April 3, 2006 Share April 3, 2006 cpc is better than preceda already especially in wet comparing cpc vs preceda , it wins in both dry and wet, and noise level and comfort cpc2 is even much better in wet than cpc, and in braking also figure urself

Tkew 1st Gear April 3, 2006 Author Share April 3, 2006 SLEE, I checked out the BS GR80, but they don't have 195/55/R15, so it is not an option for me. Everyone, Thanks for your comments. Keep them coming. Cheers!

Tkew 1st Gear April 3, 2006 Author Share April 3, 2006 Eagle F1 is considered as performance tyres right, i.e. it is not built for comfort, low noise, etc. Am I correct?
Ivan96935sg Neutral Newbie April 3, 2006 Share April 3, 2006 feedback that Eagle F1 is not really that noisy......
Slee Neutral Newbie April 3, 2006 Share April 3, 2006 why not try the DZ101 ? I guess tires are very subjective ... some like one brands while for others they are a no-no ... I guess at the end of the day, it's the budget that dictates ...

But heard the new V8 RS is a good new tire. Hankook - value for money. ↡ Advertisement
