Further undressing

How many guys does it take to change an Intercooler ? [rolleyes]

The guy squatting is Steve Lee from Malaysia. Consecutive don't know how many times winner as a race driver. Forgot which car it was but he's currently training the owner of Top Racing and will be competing at Wanneroo using a Evo 6 some time next year.

I'm not a motorhead, so correct me if I'm wrong...

Both SC and TC compress air into the cylinders. Therefore, both systems are affected by ambient air pressure (related also to air temperature). Only difference between the two is the power supply for each charger. One is a constant "ON" in the case for a SC and one is reliant by amount of exhaust gas existing. Anyway, Singapore's humidity is way above many other temperate countries, so we have one 'pluspoint' there.

I'm on TC system. And I like it because I get can the power when I need it. Normal driving, I actually get very good FC. Big displacement NA cars which get the same 0-100kmph timings as lower displacement cars with FI burns more fuel generally with normal driving. [sweatdrop]

So for a middle-income person like me, I'd still stick with my TC car. Just a personal preference. [;)]

hi

may i know which TC car u driving that gives u good FC?

cos i'm looking for one too.

thank you so much sir!

Weakest link for the S15 is the 6 speed g-box. Most circuit guys wither change the gearsets and leave it 6 speed of they just chuck on the S14 5 speeder. Other than that any having rocker arm stoppers for high rpm work, they are pretty much a strong setup.

I thought so...

My tutor's 400rwhp S15 killed his 6 speeder twice.

First time was stock, 2nd time was rebuild. He finally decided to go with a brand new aftermarket gearbox... [laugh]

How many rwhp do you think the stock gearbox can handle ?
