Hi,

Just one question, how yuo know it is time to change the actived charcoal, all it is those that never need replacement (I did not change the charcoal in my aquarium).

I had been to some supermarket, that sell this type of charcoal base, odor/mist absorber. It suggest hanging out in the sun so as to "reuse" the product. I think that work on the water vapour but does that work on the odor?

Thanks in advance

I am not an expert in this area.... [sweatdrop]

But i surmise from what I have read (goggle: activated charcoal), u can't really reuse the pdt by mere sun.

Let me rephrase. AC is many more spores being opened via production process. And these spores trap the odor. Think of it as sponge holes trapping dirt. When all the spores are filled, it loses its effect.

Heat will release the odors / chemicals as the spores expand under heat. But I suspect mere sunning it is not sufficient: - might not have enuf heat...

I could be entirely wrong though.

Finally, not a fish owner, but I noe goldfish v. particular. So do change yr charcoal filter once in a while.

Does your car come with air-con filter? Feedback is usually if use filter, then the odour gone. Here is what was recommended to me.

Or u can buy the Charcoal from NTUC for Barbeque or if after bbq use the spare charcoal and put it in a big tupperware .....place it in your car overnight and the smell will be gone ...but after that make sure u dont fart in the car cos the sh.it smell will come back
