Hey, I also just booked a Legacy 2.0R at $80,500. Brillant Silver. Delivery should be in May. Hope won't need to top up for COE.

Can't wait for it to come.

Hope the FC is decent.

Bro, you are in for a treat, LNR consumption figures can hit double digit km/l

Some have claimed even 12 km/l

Hope you don't be shocked by the LGT consumption [:)] Especially if you travel a lot and you're heavy footed [;)] But overall the stock car is quite adequate for our roads [:)]

Hi Drsubaru,

But since you trade in your impreza for the Legacy, your SE should take in your impreza at 100% paper value + body.

Hi bro, when you get your legacy, can you check if your climate control is working well? Cuz I read in oversea's legacy forum that the climate control has a design fault due to its poor design

It is not poor design lah. It just cuts in and draws in outside air at temp above 23.5 degrees (I think) There are ways to get around that. Just check the Legacy forum dude.

Bro, referring to the above Motor Image website, Legacy 2.5 GT is the one with 6 airbags, 2.0R is 2 airbags. Maybe you should clarify with your SE.

LGT is 2.0l lah.... Still no news whether MI is bringing in the 2.5l GT. Anyway, 2.0l LGT is already quite a hand full already. Good performance at 2.0l road tax.... [pirate]

Unlikely that MI would bring in the 2.5 LGT. However its a world of a difference in performance for that 500cc extra. Well worth it.

Frankly LGT consumption is not too bad for a 2.0 AT turbo. Definately not in the 4-5km/l range.

Agreed I used to drive the earlier model B4 RSK, normal driving was ard 7-8km/ltr.

The current model is twin scroll single turbo so better FC & lighter too due to more

alum in the frame.

I guess LGT should be 8-10km/ltr & 2.0R NA should be ard 9-11km/ltr.

Eh, I think if your are an existing Subaru owner and you are changing to another Subaru, you can get additional S$500/= from MI as loyalty. Saw this at MI webby and I think it's on top of what you are getting now. Do you ask for it ?

Turbocharged

one thing, if u are trading in your car, if you don't top up to get the new car, wouldn't u end up with no car at the end of the day?

unless u can up-front tell the se that u won't give up your old car unless u can confirm the new one?

i was caught in that situation when i bought my current car.. in the end, had to top up $200. [mad]

They play around with the figures one lah

At the end of the day, if take in 100%, they give lower body value, you also lan lan, suck thumb

How would you expect the dealer to earn?

You got that Subaru from Motor Image right. How come they telling you to top up? Crazy, ask them to eat s*@t la. DEFINITELY NO TO TOP UP. They are earning alot man. [shakehead][mad]

hmmm,, sounds familiar ...heard some nissan buyers oso kenna this top-up "scam"

Yeah man! I told the SE I don't believe MI cannot absorb the $500 that they wanted me to top up. When they told me they don't earn much for cars, I LOL. Don't tell me they rob the bank to build the Toa Payoh 7 Storey showroom which costs tens of millions of dollars [knife]

I booked the Urban Grey LGT

Also not successful

Asked to top up 500 for open cat

Dun be con

2nd bidding should get

Let us meet up

Can pm me

Hi bro.

Nice to hear so many people in the MCF are booking for Legacy. You LGT is the best, but out of my budget, unless the government gives me giant Ang Pau this election. [laugh]

I will go to the site you mentioned and be poisoned by you guys.

I prepared not to buy if they force me to top up. I rather buy other cars or come back again with another SE also won't top up for a dollar. I hate unfair trade. [whip]

Dun get misled by the SE. He will not know what is the actual amt during bidding at all just that they are bid within certain range.

COE is bid by their parent co. so they are pool with Nissan.

My SE called my at the very last few minutes telling me I am out-bided. He told me to top-up $500! There goes my Legacy!!!!! [bigcry]

I said no to top-up. I told him that it is about principle and not the $$$. To me, a customer and the company agreed the deal at the price of $79.5K, the company should honour the deal! I really don't believe they don't have buffer for $500 in their quotation. [whip]

This time round Tan Chong really underestimated Kah motors and Sime Darby

Kah motors are filling a backlog of their cxxxxxcs as is Sime Darby who bought their AAS presold beemers

I believe next round they would be bidding more aggressively

After all, the longer they wait, the higher the COEs would climb and the more cost they have to bear

True bro. That's what I told my SE when he told me to top up $500. I told him if his company not absorbing now, I stand to gain a higher valued COE the next round. hee. [laugh]
