Dipstick Neutral Newbie March 3, 2006 Share March 3, 2006 I do not have access to a 240v power outlet when polishing my car. I am thinking of getting a polisher/buffer that runs off the car cigarette lighter. Has anyone got experience with this? Any recommended model/brand? TIA. ↡ Advertisement

Xtravel Neutral Newbie March 3, 2006 Share March 3, 2006 power inverter converts 12v to 230-240v. for equipment uses the normal 3 pin plugs, the power inverter has a cigie lighter that can plug in your car 12v it also depends on how many watts you want to run, got also invertor that can support till 750watts. can plug your house tv to your car too

Dipstick Neutral Newbie March 4, 2006 Author Share March 4, 2006 (edited) Will using the inverter drain flat the 12v battery within half an hour? I think it's safer to stick to a 12v polisher but I wonder if it will be powerful enough for the job. Is anyone here using a 12v polisher? Your comments and recommedations please.
