Wire Neutral Newbie February 24, 2006 Share February 24, 2006 My ride is a FF (front engine, front wheel drive) like most of us here. Normal offset is +42. Was wondering if I can actually install Front : +42 offset rims Rear : +38 offset rims With this setup, I will have slightly wider wheel base for my rear. Understand that this setup will give stable ride for FR (Front Engine, Rear wheel Drive). Anyway comments for our normal FF cars? ↡ Advertisement

Jchuacl Clutched February 27, 2006 Share February 27, 2006 If you rotate your tyres, can the rear rim offset fit without problems clearing the brakes? Also, if you don't rotate your tyres, you'll need to spend more on tyres to maintain them, is it worth it? With a lightweight rim and good tyres, you should already get pretty good handling for Honda Civic (you driving this right?) unless you want to chiong. Kaer Neutral Newbie February 27, 2006 Share February 27, 2006 +3 -3 from the default offset looks ok. -4, you may like to check if it rubs the inside. put a 1mm spacer?

Nine_eleven 2nd Gear March 4, 2006 Share March 4, 2006 nothing will go wrong with a staggered look... just that you won't be able rotate your tires.. if your car alignment has no problems, the front will just wear off sooner abit, just replace two tires at a time lor... no big time danger... just that ur car will look nicer without 'inset' wheels... ↡ Advertisement
