The new 1.4 and 1.6 is DOHC 16V .. only the 1.1 is SOHC

right now both 1.4 & 1.6 comes wif DOHC engine, no more SOHC. but 1.6 will comes wif ABS & auto side mirror adjustment.and of cos 1.6 will have more torque....thks.

What is wrong with SOHC? Engine is more compact and lighter. Adding another cam means one more moving part to maintain and extra weight to the already heavily laden Getz body. Unless DOHC with variable valve timing then make more sense.

i just enquired with hyundai two days back..

ok as we all noe banks have increased their interest rates to 3.5% for a ten yr loan so interest owed back to bank is high..

 

curtrent promo price of 1.4 getz 5 dr is 45500 immed.

the SE giving leather seats and RS only.

 

not having ABS, is it a big factor to watch out for? cause my current old ride also no abs..

so far no issue.

hehe.. my ride also no ABS.

 

just becareful when raining days, and don't jam brake suddenly. control your braking, if wheels lock up (which can be quite fun and smelly ) then just release pressure till they spin back again..

 

no ABS can be fun also, cos u get more control over the car during handbrake turns or mini skids

My old car also had no ABS... It is a good to have safety feature, but if you are a safe driver, especially if you haven't had braking problems with your current car, then it is no big issue. I have never activated my own one too...
