Coltagious Neutral Newbie February 20, 2006 Share February 20, 2006 i guess that depends on what you mean by detailing. I use MF towels for removing wax or polish and also applying quick detailers and spray waxes like OCW. I also use it on glass and interior plastics when it gets old. U certainly can use it 4 detailing, interior or exterior. Hope it helps

Kaiserdome 1st Gear February 21, 2006 Share February 21, 2006 This cloth is little on the rough side, not plush type. I also find it unsuitable to buff off wax and sealant. Using it for interior too

Hyun Neutral Newbie February 21, 2006 Share February 21, 2006 me shopping for MF cloth too. *shocked* didn't know MF can remove wax. i certainly dowan to remove my wax .. so whether the MF cloth remove wax or not depends on how hard u rub? i bought some low-end MF cloth, the kind going for like $3-3.50 a piece. hope it's not a bad idea ... technically MF is of an acceptably small fibre size right? so technically all MF cloth should be suitable? Kaiserdome 1st Gear February 21, 2006 Share February 21, 2006 Hehe...since we are in this detailing forum, 'washing car' is a pretty specialised term. Which part of washing u mean? Using it as washing mitt? Or drying? Or buffing off polish/wax/sealant. IMHO, this cloth is not definitely not suitable as a washing mitt . It's also not efficient for drying since it's so freaky small and not very absorbent. Lastly as I mentioned earlier, it is not good for buffing off polish/wax/sealant because of its roughness. Ic3ncok3 Neutral Newbie February 22, 2006 Share February 22, 2006 how else would u describe washing the car? its effectiveness in detailing or grooming the car in general, then i wouldnt know, haven tried it for any other purpose than washing. ill agree that it probably wouldnt be good for drying, polishing or waxing. i use it as a washing cloth. with water and car shampoo. it works well for me, haven had any new swirls using it. ↡ Advertisement
