Turbonetics 2nd Gear February 13, 2006 Share February 13, 2006 place at the outer part of the mirror...
Nullifi3d 4th Gear February 14, 2006 Share February 14, 2006 Does the mirror really help? i cant get used to driving with a blindspot mirror. My neck itchy so must turn around. lol
Octopus 3rd Gear February 14, 2006 Share February 14, 2006 I'd put them at the nearer edge, cos my main purpose for those small mirrors is for parking (i.e. see the curb or parking lot lines). The further area of the wing mirrors I'd rather keep them free from 'obstruction'.
Jchuacl Clutched February 14, 2006 Share February 14, 2006 It does for me. As I'm driving a 2-dr car, there is a certain spot which I can't see even when I turn my head and have to rely on the mirror to verify before I turn.
Adam251 Neutral Newbie February 14, 2006 Share February 14, 2006 same as Octopus....I use mine for parking purpose only to see the lines/edge of other cars/wall... very useful in getting into tight parking slots...position closer to door at top corner
Osiris 1st Gear February 14, 2006 Share February 14, 2006 What about replacing the entire mirror with a convex type? I found it quite useful in the rental I drove.
Rookie Neutral Newbie February 14, 2006 Author Share February 14, 2006 but the convex type will not aid you to reverse or parallel park leh, unless like high end conti cars where it will tilt downwards when you engage reverse gear
Rookie Neutral Newbie February 14, 2006 Author Share February 14, 2006 but if position at far edge, still can see the curb. very confused. i have driven cars with blind spot mirrors at both positions, but still can't decide
Octopus 3rd Gear February 16, 2006 Share February 16, 2006 I agree, far edge still can see curb. But the inner edge is not so 'useful' as compared to the far edge, so I'd rather 'sacrifice' the area there.
Burgerdog Neutral Newbie February 16, 2006 Share February 16, 2006 i prefer mine at the nearer edge... mainly use it for parking... you can try all the different positions first before sticking it on... and see which suits u the best... maybe the real question is what you want to use it for? if for easy filtering, then is outer edge... if for parking then is nearer edge lor... Spycraft 1st Gear February 16, 2006 Share February 16, 2006 I placed mine at the bottom of the side mirror nearer to the edge. Use for parking most of the time.
Lwteyu Neutral Newbie February 16, 2006 Share February 16, 2006 Quote just like to check do you guys put the blind spot mirror at the nearer edge or further edge of your side mirror. put mine at Nearer edge for parking, curb and those MSCP pillar and can see car body too. Further edge is useful for me in lane changing.
Smurfy76 Neutral Newbie February 16, 2006 Share February 16, 2006 I place it on nearer edge.. to see the distance between my car and curb... and esp when those biker in the dotted line stay close to my boot.. very clear... cos even my head turn to check blind spot could still be block by the b & c pillar... ↡ Advertisement
