Beanoyip Turbocharged July 30, 2006 Share July 30, 2006 Hey man, any idea if Hurricane air filter can fit in our Superb? Btw, where's the air filter compartment in bonnet. Lower left?
Beanoyip Turbocharged July 30, 2006 Share July 30, 2006 Or maybe Green filter would be a better choice?
Skodalover Neutral Newbie September 23, 2006 Share September 23, 2006 Hi, i am a fan of the superb ever since my colleague introduced me to his octavia a year ago, i saw that the dashboard has six butons, only one appears to be lighted, the rest look like false swtiches, is there any way to aesthically remove it such as replace and that dash board section ? Please do not take any offence, i would buy the car if only i hadn't gotten stuck with my vios but the buttons is a bit unsightly.
Virus 2nd Gear September 23, 2006 Share September 23, 2006 Put some label over it, eg "Missile", "Eject", "Stealth" etc.
Beanoyip Turbocharged September 23, 2006 Share September 23, 2006 I'm not too bothered by the fact that those buttons were just emptied. They were there because of its euro spec. That i understand. If you wish, you could re design the whole dash area to suit your style. Customise it if you feel its unsightly. For me i'm just contented that the car performs well and i'm enjoying every moment of it.
Skodalover Neutral Newbie September 23, 2006 Share September 23, 2006 really ? you mean it is possible to do a customisable dash section for the head unit area ?
Koolaba 1st Gear September 23, 2006 Share September 23, 2006 Most of the more competent car audio installers, which have experience in customising cars for audio setups, should have the capability to customise the centre console of the Superb. First, you need to remove all the blank switches after detaching the centre console faceplate (secured by clips). Next, the installer will be able to patch the holes with either small pieces of medium density fibreboard or fibreglass. Finally, the entire faceplate is given a layer of putty to smoothen the patched areas. The area is sanded down to achieve consistent smoothness before spray painting the area or applying cubic print on the plastic panel. The entire exercise could be quite costly because of the labour involved. One such installer is Audioedge. ↡ Advertisement
