w212 facelift is on par with the f10 5 series. the rest are sub standard

how bout the w222?

coming from f10 523i .. no regret moving on to the gs350 fsport .. your statement is too sweeping.

Supercharged

But the ES has many options, very good

maybe can consider camry special indent.. given the same price.. you can indent a super camry like the Hello kitten Bentley

If the "special" Camry, just $2-3k cheaper, must well get the Lexus.

Some driver enthusiast appreciate the smoothness and the powerful toyota or lexus V6 engine and transmission compared with the E class compressor or even the base model S class 7 G tronic..... [:)]

That's not a like for like comparision.

For like for like comparison, it should be:

IS 250 vs C200 vs 320

GS 350 vs E350 vs 535

LS 460 vs S500 vs 740

what I mean special is maybe the camry got customise interior , maybe got bullet proof , maybe got massage seats.. ES looks damn ugly inside out..

yes, ok.

But even the S class cannot compare with "smaller" lexus, not as good to drive (in terms of power delivery/auto transmission smoothness) compared to lexus ES300, GS300, RX400h.....so sold off Nov 2012 S class W221 S300L and change back to lexus.

I, on the other hand, found the latest GS350 engine to be unrefined and noisy, I have switched to BMW 5 series. The BMW 528 drives and feel better. It's actually more quiet at both low and high speed. It was of course not as quiet as my previous LS460 but certainly better than GS.

That's because u bought entry level S class. S300 is 2 tonne with 230hp, which translate as 8kg/hp.

On the other hand, LS460 is 2 tonne with 380hp, which translate as 5kg/hp.

It is the same for any car that is entry level model.

(edited)

hehe, u r right, what to do.

cant afford the S600L biturbo V12 cost price and the annual road tax.

No need lah. S450 or E300 would be more than enough.

I am a big fan of Alphard/veilfire as long as i m not the driver. As the sitting position higher than car, it is easier to get in & out.
